Mylord,
I am afraid to report that the autopsy of Makarius Grel might have risen more questions than it has provided answers.
The examination of the body confirmed the initial diagnosis of massive cerebral hemorrhaging as the cause of death. However, according to the unanimous findings of several independent specialists who examined Grel, he was in perfect health right up to the time of his death.
Still, the autopsy revealed at least one more abnormality, although as of now, it proves to be more perplexing than revealing. Behind the subject's right ear, a small, silver-black cylinder was found implanted approximately two centimetres below the skin, lodged against the rear of the maxilla.
As of now, we have not been able to determine its nature. AdMech specialists who have analyzed the object have ascertained it to have a technological component, but its use or function remains thoroughly unclear, as does the matter of whether or not it had an involvement in Grel's death.
I have ordered the object to be transported to Lachesis for further analysis, in the hopes that our brightest minds there might be able to shed a somewhat more satisfying light on this matter.
Your faithful servant,
Interrogator Helroth Vink
